About this role  

Are you an excellent communicator? Would you like to help people living with sight loss to tell their stories?  We are looking for a storytelling volunteer to work alongside our communications and fundraising team to help discover and share the stories of our recipients.

Tasks include contacting our recipients to see if they have a story they would be willing to share, interviewing our service users and following up on previous contacts.

At British Wireless for the Blind Fund, we believe access to audio can be life changing for someone living with sight loss. We give audio devices for free and for life to people living with sight loss in the greatest financial need. And our easy-to-use apps and skills unlock a world of audio content on the internet for people who might otherwise struggle to access it.  

Where will you be based? 

The role can be home-based. Our team is based in the South East of England. Any volunteer prepared to travel within this region will have opportunities for face-to-face time with our team, if this is something they want to do.

How much time will I need to commit?

We would like someone to commit a minimum of 4 hours a week, ideally on a Wednesday, but we can be flexible.
