Julie Hocking

Individual Giving & Legacy Manager

Julie joined our charity in 2016. She looks after our donors and people who leave gifts in their Wills.

Jules started her career in theatre sales, where she worked her way up to managing corporate sponsor relationships. Jules soon decided her skills could be put to better use in the charity sector. She joined the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, and later Macmillan Cancer Support. Over the years, she’s worked on events, membership schemes, legacy fundraising, and philanthropy.

When Jules joined BWBF, individual giving was a new fundraising venture for the charity. At first, her role was mostly taking donations and thanking our lovely supporters. Now, she works on building systems, creating campaigns, and making sure every donor has an amazing experience with BWBF.

Jules’ favourite part of the job is talking to the people BWBF has helped and showing donors the difference they make in people’s lives.

Outside of work, Jules enjoys windy beach walks in Suffolk. She also enjoys a spot of cooking and gardening.
