Assistant to the CEO

Sarah joined our charity in 2023. Before BWBF she worked for charities including Citizens Advice and Marie Curie.

Sarah has over 10 years of experience in helping organisations run smoothly. She loves working with people.

Sarah started at BWBF in a part-time data-entry job, but it quickly turned into a full-time role supporting our beneficiaries. Now, she assists the CEO with matters relating to governance, policy development and more. She is responsible for helping the charity ensure that everything is in place to help the smooth operation of our activities.

When she's not busy with that, Sarah still loves speaking with BWBF’s service users and hearing the incredible stories they share about BWBF's life-changing service. 

Outside of work, Sarah is kept on her toes by by her five children. When she does have any free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and judo. As Sarah says, “throwing people in a judoka is a great way to relieve stress!”

Working in a small charity is great because I can work on big projects, while also staying really connected with our service users. Their stories are what motivates us all and it's truly inspiring to see the difference that BWBF makes to so many lives.

Sophie became the CEO in March 2024. Before becoming our CEO, Sophie led the charity's service delivery team.
