Customer Service & Technical Assistant

Suresh has been with the charity since 2014, providing technical and customer support to beneficiaries.

In his current role as Customer Service and Technical Assistant, Suresh supports the delivery of our audio equipment to people living with sight loss and offers expert guidance on setup and troubleshooting. He also researches emerging technologies that could benefit our users.

Suresh originally joined BWBF after completing a degree in IT. Over the years, he has contributed to several major digital projects, including the development of our Sonata service and accessible audio apps such as Speech Radio and Speech Talking Newspaper.

Suresh, who lives with sight loss, says, “I bring personal as well as professional experience to the customer service I offer. I enjoy using my technical knowledge to make other people’s lives easier. It gives me great satisfaction when someone is facing difficulty and I’m able to help resolve their issues.”

Outside of work, Suresh enjoys keeping up with the latest tech trends, as well as travelling and exploring new places.

I feel lucky to have been at BWBF during my own sight loss journey. It helps that I understand what many of our users are going through. BWBF can be a big help, especially when someone is first losing their sight and everything becomes inaccessible. What we do gives people a tool in their utility belt to make life a little easier.
