Donate in memory

If you are organising a funeral collection or marking an anniversary as a lasting tribute in memory of a loved one, thank you for thinking of us.

Making a donation in memory of a loved one is a special way to celebrate their life, their values, their achievements.

Your kindness, made in their name, will help someone else receive a lifeline to the world.

Funeral donations

Many families choose to ask for donations instead of flowers at a funeral service. It can be a meaningful and positive action.

The funeral director will be used to making these arrangements but if you are organising things yourself, here's how to send donations to us.

  • Pay online via our donation page.
  • Make a payment by post. Send cheques payable to British Wireless for the Blind Fund to our address (BWBF, 10 Albion Place, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 5DZ).

Please let us know that the donation is in-memory, so we can say thank you.

    Set up a tribute fund

An online tribute page is a way for family and friends to gather and share treasured memories of a loved one. It can be an alternative to managing funeral donations.

You can use websites like JustGiving or Love2Donate to create a unique and lasting tribute. These tribute pages can be fully customised and through it you can share information about a funeral or memorial event. People donating can leave messages of remembrance and you’ll be able to see the total amount.

The total raised comes straight to us, so you don’t have to worry about keeping on top of paperwork.

Other ways to give in memory

You might simply want to make a one-off or regular donation in memory of your loved one. Please leave us a message about your friend or family member and the reason for your donation.

Another way to remember someone, is by leaving a legacy in your own Will in their name.
