Fundraise for us

Inspired to do something fun or challenging to raise money for us? From sponsored physical challenges to coffee mornings, whatever you want to do, we’d love your support.

We are a small charity with big ambitions. With your help, we can do more to unlock a world of audio content for blind and partially sighted people.

Do something fun

Why not organise a quiz or cake sale at work or in your community or at school? Get the competitive juices flowing! Who knows the most about films or music? Who can bake the best brownie?!

How about a jumble sale, fancy dress party or treasure hunt? These can be great events to bring people together.

Set yourself a challenge

Maybe you have always wanted to run a marathon or walk a long distance path? Or are looking for a focus for a health kick or detox. Why not boost your motivation by fundraising for BWBF at the same time?

A challenge doesn’t have to be a formal event, it could be giving up chocolate for 30 days or swapping your car for a bike for a month. Get people to sponsor you to keep you going.

Tell us what you are doing so we can send you encouragement, promote your event on social media and say thank you.

Fundraise in celebration

Got enough stuff? Why not ask for donations to your favourite charity instead of gifts to mark a big celebration?

Fundraising in celebration is a common activity. If you have a birthday or a big anniversary, a wedding or other life event coming up, set up a JustGiving page and ask for donations. You’ll be able to set a target and see messages and donations as they come in.

Fundraise in memory

If you are thinking ahead to the anniversary or birthday of a lost loved one, you might like to use this date to fundraise. It can help to switch the focus of a difficult date, into a positive one.

Whether you are planning a challenge in their memory or organising a memorial event or a shared moment of quiet to reflect, asking for donations or sponsorship can help to bring people together.
