Cheryl Baker praises BWBF calendar

BWBF patron Cheryl Baker has commended a new calendar produced in partnership with an arts college.

A calendar to show how visually impaired people use their other senses toe njoy the world around them has been produced.

British Wireless for the Blind Fund has worked with final year students from the photography department at the University of the Creative Arts in Rochester to create the calendar.

Georgette Freed, Rebecca Hallett, Julie Kahila, Amanda King and Victoria Widdowson took up the challenge of using visual imagery to provide an insight into the sensational landscape of the blind and partially sighted.

BWBF Patron Cheryl Baker said: “I think the collaboration between BWBF and UCA is absolutely fantastic.

“The senses for blind and partially sighted people are heightened and I think the students have done a brilliant job in trying to create images that you want to touch, taste, smell and listen to in their photographs.”
