Who is eligible for Gift Aid?

  • As long as your donation is your own money and you pay UK Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax, then your donation is eligible.
  • Money from sponsorship donations or events such as raffles or bake sales are not eligible.
  • Your donations qualify as long as they’re not more than four times what you paid in tax in that tax year.
  • Donations can have Gift Aid added to them retrospectively within a four year time period.

What you need to do

When you make an online donation, simply tick the box that says ‘Yes’ to Gift Aid.

There is always a Gift Aid tick box on our donation forms. If you are making a donation through the post or over the phone or want to apply Gift Aid to a previous donation please contact us.

If you are already registered with us and your circumstances changed and you didn’t pay enough tax to qualify, please tell us as soon as possible so we don’t claim for that year.
