Volunteer Event / Talk Ambassador

What is this role?

This vital role involves attending a number of agreed events and/ or speaking engagements to promote, showcase and demonstrate our equipment and service delivery to a wide range of our stakeholders. The talks maybe in person or via Zoom. You will have a range of responsibilities. A named member of staff will provide information advice and guidance. An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

Where is it based?

This position will be based from your home. A geographical area would be agreed. Travel may be long distance to attend exhibitions.

How much time will I need to commit?

Ideally, we would like you to commit to around 1 or 2 days a month. This will be weekdays only. Most events tend to operate between 10am and 4pm. There will be travel time as well to and from the events.

What kind of person are you looking for?

Someone who has first class interpersonal skills. Experience of public speaking is desirable but not essential. Organised and articulate with a positive “can do “approach, common sense and patience along with a sense of humour would all be useful. A car owner or access to a vehicle is required along with a clean driving license.

We will provide full training and ongoing support.
