Home Based Telephone Support Volunteer
Would you like to use your people skills to make a difference to isolated, visually impaired people? We are looking for a patient and caring person to provide over the phone support to our recipients.
What does this role involve?
- Calling our recipients on the phone to ensure that they have received their equipment and have managed to set it up etc.
- Asking questions to ascertain if the equipment is suitable for them
- Updating our database and informing the team if the recipient requires further support.
- Dealing with returns and reporting any issues or problems
How much time will I need to commit?
We would ask you to support us for a minimum of 4 hours per week. This is completely flexible and can be arranged so that it fits in around your existing commitments.
What kind of person are you looking for?
We are looking for a reliable, caring and patient person. You will need access to a computer and have an internet connection. Experience of Excel and database would be beneficial.
