Generous grant from trust will make a big difference
The 4814 Trust has given BWBF a very generous grant which will provide dozens of radios to visually impaired people in need.
A trust has given BWBF a grant of £10,000.
The 4814 Trust donated the money last week for us to provide our specially adapted equipment across the country.
It’s the first time the organisation has donated to British Wireless and it will make a huge difference to the lives of dozens of visually impaired people.
It means we could provide more than 50 people with one of our Concerto 2 sets, or more than 75 with a Duet 2.
As we receive no government funding, we rely on the generosity of our supporters and organisations such as The 4814 Trust to enable us to keep providing our vital service to people with sight loss.
BWBF Trusts Officer Frances Fielding said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to The 4814 Trust.
“This is a large grant for us and it will really make a difference.
“We are so grateful and know our recipients will be too.”
