MARS supports fund
Midland Amateur Radio Society has chosen to support BWBF.
An amateur radio society has chosen to support British Wireless for the Blind Fund.
The Midland Amateur Radio Society will be running a special event station, with a call sign of GB80TH from as many different locations as possible during 2011.
They are also in the process of setting up a scheme whereby an award will be issued to amateurs who gain 20 points for working/hearing a certain number of MARS members during 2011.
Radio amateurs will pay for the privilege of getting a certificate for their shack wall and BWBF and the RNLI will benefit from the monies collected.
