Transmission 2013 Winners

The Central Radio Amateur Circle has won trophies at an annual radio club fundraising event.

West Midlands-based Central Radio Amateur Circle has won both trophies at the annual Transmission event, where radios clubs compete to make the greatest number of contacts and raise the most money.

They set up their equipment, aerials, tents and caravans on Barr Beacon on Saturday 21st September 2013 with the specific intention of making more contacts than any of the other entrants over the 12 hour period.

Using the call-sign GB1TT they succeeded, and we are delighted to announce them the winners.

The individual Under 18 achievement shield was also won by a club member – Dean Hallard, 12, who did a lot of distance work using a frequency which is not normally used for distance.
