Three grants will benefit visually impaired around the UK
Visually impaired people across the UK will benefit from three grants which British Wireless received throughout November.
Three grants awarded to British Wireless during November will benefit blind and partially sighted people across the UK.
The Jimmie Cairncross Charitable Trust has donated £552 to pay for three of our Concerto 2 sets.
These will be provided to people with sight loss in the Perth and Kinross area of Scotland.
Another £5,000 has come in from The 29th May 1961 Charitable Trust.
This money will be used for British Wireless to support visually impaired people in the West Midlands.
BWBF has also received a £1,000 grant from the CB & HH Taylor Trust.
The donation will go towards providing radios for visually impaired people in Birmingham and paying towards the costs of volunteers to deliver and set them up and provide one-to-one instruction on how to use them.
BWBF’s Trusts Officer Frances Fielding said: “We would like to say a big thank you to these three organisations for their generous donations.
“These grants will help allow us to continue our work supporting visually impaired people who need us around the UK.”
