Mark Noble

Trustee

Mark Noble joined our Board of Trustees in 2013 after many years as a supporter of the charity.

As a young man, Mark worked in an engineering company and was a member of the armed forces. After losing vision in 1977, he went on to work in a high street bank for 36 years.

Mark first encountered BWBF when the charity gave him a radio shortly after he lost his sight. From that moment, Mark has gone on to be a firm, lifelong supporter of the charity.

Mark has been a Trustee of the charity through a period of rapid technological change. He is a firm advocate of new technology and its power to change lives. He is a daily user of BWBF’s accessible Speech Radio phone app. Having spent much of his life around people living with sight loss of all ages, Mark is convinced of the need to cater to the different needs of such a diverse community with a range of physical devices and software solutions.

Outside of work, Mark is a keen tandem rider, enjoying long cycles with his wife as pilot. He also plays bowls as part of a visually impaired bowls club.
