British Wireless team up with Premier League legends West Bromwich Albion
From September 30th WBA Radio match commentary will be available through our streaming service on both Sonata and Bumblebee devices.
The news comes ahead of West Brom’s inaugural Diversity Day at The Hawthorns – with the game against Watford dedicated to celebrating the Club’s equality and inclusiveness.
The Baggies are only the second Premier League club to sign-up to the scheme, which aims to counter the loneliness associated with sight loss, by providing the companionship of a radio.
Albion’s live audio commentary is available for free via the club’s website but this partnership will mean British Wireless users can listen using specially-adapted radios and the new Bumblebee app.
Saul Watson, from British Wireless for the Blind Fund, said: “Linking up with a club that has such a great history, and who been at the forefront of the diversity and inclusion agenda for many years, really is a incredible honour.
“This is an opportunity for us to get our message and support out to a community that may never have come across our services before.
“If we can help blind or visually impaired Baggies fans and football supporters in general have simple access to live commentary, then that has to be a good thing for all involved.”
