Lions club donates funds for set
Rugeley and District Lions Club has donated funds for a BWBF set.
A lions club has paid for a British Wireless for the Blind Fund set to be donated to a local resident.
Rugeley and District Lions Club paid £175 which has been used to give a Concerto 2 to Ann Sullivan.
The money has also covered the cost of one of our volunteers to go out and visit Ann and set up the radio in her home, showing her the many different audio functions.
BWBF Regional Manager for Rugeley, Sophie Jones, visited the club to receive the donation and also spoke to the members about the services which we provide.
She said: “The Rugeley Lions are a friendly and welcoming bunch, who work hard to raise money for those who need support in Rugeley.
“We are grateful for the donation which was spent directly supporting a blind person in their local area – so thank you.”
